IPCE publishes Consent Decree Community Engagement Report
IPCE publishes the summary of findings of the Consent Decree Community Engagement Report and presents to the State of Illinois Office of the Attorney General.
As part of the process of negotiating and drafting the consent decree, the Attorney General’s Office worked with community organizations to hold 14 Consent Decree Community Roundtables throughout Chicago. The purpose of these roundtables was to ensure that interested Chicago residents had a meaningful opportunity to provide their input on reform of CPD. The Attorney General’s Office and the City then reviewed and considered all of the community input.
