This talk examines a collaborative research project exploring antiterrorism initiatives that call on mental health professionals and other public health practitioners to identify, report, and work with individuals perceived to be vulnerable to terrorist radicalization. Professor Nguyen will discuss the possibilities, ethics, and risks of “studying up” to support grassroots organizing from below.
