DESCRIPTION:Dear friends of Pullman, Calumet region &amp; UIC City Design studio,    We are thrilled to invite you to our upcoming events in the Historic Pullman community as part of the Master of City Design (MCD) graduate capstone project ? Chicago Charrette. We would love to have you join us for the Final Presentation. This event highlights a culmination of several rounds of community engagement in Pullman and we hope you can make it for our event!    Final Presentation: See the results! About the project:    The ?Chicago Charrette,? is a hands-on field-based intensive studio from May 19-June 13, 2025. Students will be collaborating with the 9th and 10th Ward Offices, Historic Pullman Foundation, Calumet Industrial Area Commission, Pullman Civic Organization, and Rosemoor Community Association to co-design built environment design solutions around the Calumet Big Marsh region and historic Pullman. Students will also work with design partners ? Design Workshop, Muse Community Design, and SOM to conduct various community engagement such as community-based surveys, design charrette, and focus groups to develop climate adaptation, health equity, affordable housing, and economic development strategies to support future planning efforts in Pullman.    The studio is generously supported by the UIC Institute for Policy and Civic Engagement and the new UIC Center for Climate and Health Equity (CECHE).
