Jasmine Babers: Soros Justice Youth Activist Fellow

IPCE is excited to welcome and host Soros Justice Youth Activist Fellow Jasmine Babers to our office. The Soros Justice Youth Activist Fellowship program supports projects that focus on one or more of the broad criminal justice reform goals: reducing mass incarceration, challenging extreme punishment, and promoting fairness in our systems of justice in the United States. Barbers, a third-year student at UIC, will work on her selected project – Fostering Incarceration.

“Being a part of the IPCE community has helped me grow so much this semester! The staff nurtures my creativity and passion for social justice, and they provide excellent support and valuable resources to help me be successful as a Soros Justice Youth Activist Fellow. I'm grateful and so fortunate to be able to work in such an uplifting environment!”
