Samah Elhassan graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May 2020 with her B.A in Applied Psychology, she is a member of Psi Chi International Psychology Honors Society. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Social Work. During her undergrad years she held multiple positions. She was a Peer Success Coach at the African American Academic Network mentoring first year and transfer students for an entire academic year. She was also a Teacher’s Assistant for an Occupational Therapy class offered at UIC for a semester. She completed an internship volunteering at the Chicago Youth Center as a counselor and a teacher assistant. She is currently a Group Support Leader facilitating group sessions at the Counseling Center at UIC. Samah hopes to become a Licensed Social Worker and open her own practice as a Therapist.
