UPPF Graduate Assistant
Antonio Gallegos is from Southwest Detroit and attended the University of Michigan where he double majored in English and Political Science with a minor in Community Action and Social Change (CASC). As an undergraduate, he was very involved in a number of student organizations which helped to serve underrepresented communities on campus. He also conducted research which focused on voter turnout in Southwest Detroit as well as served as an English course assistant during the Summer Bridge Program. Antonio is currently pursuing a Master's in Urban Higher Education and hopes to utilize what he learns at UIC to return to his home city of Detroit and help with access and retention for students pursuing higher education.
