About
Larissa Mukundwa completed her bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2011 and completed her master’s degree in comparative politics at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2016. She is currently working towards her Ph.D. in Anthropology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Larissa is a political anthropologist who studies democratic political movements and parties in Africa and in Chicago. Larissa aims to use her accumulated insight and knowledge of Chicago city politics to help Urban Public Policy Fellows (UPPF) succeed in their internships and with their research projects.
In her free time, she enjoys cycling, yoga and spending time with her family and friends.
