Join us for an open art studio with Delilah Salgado, Chicago artist.
Participants will create artwork that shares their stories about how they are experiencing and responding to environmental and climate change issues affecting their lives. These mapping visual and narrative stories will be housed within the UIC LCC website. contribute to a collective archive for the Climate and Environmental Justice Crossing Latinidades.
Delilah Salgado is a first generation Mexican-American multidisciplinary community based artist and co-founder of “Mujeres Mutantes”, an all women’s arts collective from Chicago, Illinois. Delilah attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she studied, painting, drawing, video and performance art. She is a wife and mother of three currently living in McKinley Park with roots in Gage Park, Little Village, and Pilsen.
