About
Kayla graduated from UIC CUPPA in 2019 with a Bachelor's in Urban Studies and minors in GIS and Public Policy. She was a fellow with the UPPF program during her bachelor's and worked directly with community groups on data visualization of environmental justice issues. She started working at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the Region 5 Air Division as an administrative program assistant at the start of 2020. Currently, she is pursuing a Master's in Public Policy with a focus on data science in government, and joined IPCE in the fall of 2023 as a research assistant to support ongoing projects. Outside of work, Kayla enjoys biking, yoga, and playing the saxophone.
