Jessica Cortez began working at IPCE in May 2021, providing administrative office support for the Institute. She is Assistant to the Director and works closely with the staff to support the operations and activities of the Institute.
She began working at UIC in 2013, providing administrative support and operational duties for a research group on the West side of campus. While working on the West side of campus, she assisted faculty, researchers and unit team members with projects, grant development, purchasing, database management, distribution coordination, and program administration. She provides the Institute with over 15 years of supporting and managing administrative activities, client service, billing and account management, facility, organizational skills, office transactional and operational experience.
Jessica also holds a professional AAPC coder certification, known for specific areas of administration within the healthcare businesses in the United States.
